Saturday Meanderings in Oslo
After a Saturday morning photography stroll through Vigeland Park, I had some business to take care of at a photo store (Akersgata Foto). During my wait time, I enjoyed looking through the photography books in store & it was not long after flipping through the pages of Hans-Michael Koetzle’s “50 Photo Icons” that I knew I had to walk away with the book. Published by Taschen, the book is a serious of information dense & interesting chapters all relating to some of the most famed photos of photographic history. Surely, I could have found & purchased this book in Germany, but there is now a special memory attached to it with the knowledge that I brought it home from Oslo.
Karl Johans Gate on May 18th- after all the May 17th festivities looking very different- but still pretty!
Looking out at the boats at Tjuvholmen
Grabbing lunch at Meatmarket (Tjuvholmen) restaurant. It’s been a while since I have seen the trend of complimentary bottles of water on the table (great water too!). Here in Bavaria, a stein of beer is typically cheaper than a glass of water (nearly always from a bottle). So this was exciting!
The meal was also very exciting- a bit of an upscale take on one of my favorite meals- fish n’ chips. It was absolutely delicious. I would repeat this order in a heartbeat!
