We couldn’t visit Dublin without experiencing the cheer of at least one more local watering hole and institution.  Brazen Head was next on the list.  One of Dublin’s oldest pubs (if not the oldest still in operation), the Brazen Head was a warm and hearty spot to round off a chilly Sunday eve….

 

 

 

The traditional Irish in house band.  They had the full room of pub go-er’s listening sincerely (no doubt several regulars among the bunch) and at times singing along.  I was captured myself, not only by the movement of the folk songs, but also by the black and white historic photos documenting landmark moments in Irish history all about the walls.

We did not make it to the Jameson Distillery (despite it being a couple of blocks from the hotel we stayed at),  but we loved seeing the barrels all over the city. A couple of them as “props” in the house sounded like a very nice idea, we thought……
